When you complete a will it is important to ensure that you sign it in accordance with legal requirements.
Have the will signed by two witnesses
You write in the date of signature and sign the will in the presence of two witnesses over the age of 18. These witnesses must watch you sign your will and then sign themselves in your presence and in the presence of each other. Each witness should sign his or her ordinary signature and then print underneath it his or her name, address and occupation. Our recommendation is that you should always have your will prepared for you by a competent solicitor who will no doubt advise you of these signing requirements and ensure that the content of the will is unambiguous and in accordance with your requirements.
